About the role
This role is responsible for the detailed production and publication of the weekly amended timetable and plans, including rolling stock and train crew diagrams, which are compliant with the industry’s amended planning (Informed Traveller process).
Key responsibilities
- Producing amended timetables which conform to the Engineering Access Statement / Timetable Planning Rules and any special event strategies in accordance with the amended planning, industry and business process timescales.
- Producing amended timetable plans which deliver an optimum and efficient service plan which minimises the impact upon EMRs customers and its operation.
- Producing amended rolling stock diagrams, which are compliant with agreed fleet utilisation, balancing and depot capacity rules.
- Producing amended train crew diagrams which are compliant with agreed train crew utilisation and roster rules.
- Producing rail replacement timetable plans which deliver an optimum and efficient service plan which minimises the impact upon EMRs customers.
- Publishing amended timetables and plans through company processes and systems to upload, circulate plans.
- Supporting the production of the Weekly Engineering Circular to the agreed timescales and format with the Amended Planning & Access Assistant.
- Establish and maintain operational partnerships with equivalent planners in Network Rail System Operator to influence amended planning outcomes to meet the strategic objectives for possessions and events.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with other functions to ensure amended planning outcomes are deliverable.
About you
- Experience of an Operational and/or railway/transport environment (desirable).
- Proven experience of problem-solving complex challenges.
- Computer literacy required in common applications such as Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to influence decision makers.
- General knowledge of East Midlands railway geography, the train services and rolling stock operated by EMR.
- Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and able to set and achieve demanding targets and objectives.
