About the Role
Provide assistance to Technical Fire Safety Officers to fulfil their undertakings. This involves managing fire safety risk in a range of buildings such as schools, libraries and industrial sites. To also assist and provide support to Construction (CDM), Asbestos and Legionella Compliance Officers to ensure statutory compliance is maintained in all Council buildings. Ensure all compliance reports are kept up to date and are to a high standard using MS Word and Excel. Support in the provision of technical advice and practical solutions for internal and external customers/stakeholders.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 5 and above (including Maths and English Language)
- 2 A-Levels (Grade A-C) or Level 3 qualification in relevant subject areas
- Demonstrate knowledge and some experience in areas of Statutory/ Legislative Compliance in relation to building management (particularly fire safety).
- Self-motivated with a strong desire for long term study.
- Able to demonstrate experience in using IT for reporting and maintaining records.
- Current developments and practices in Statutory Compliance & Legislation Guidance relating to building construction and management (particularly Fire Safety)
- Interpretation and analysis of statistical data via high level of IT skills
