We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stores Person, based in the Chesterfield area. You will be responsible for efficiency and organization within the supply chain. You will be required to ensure that goods are received, stored correctly, and dispatched in a timely manner. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent role.
Duties:
- Understand key business metrics and drivers
- Manage the distribution and partner in the updating of all policies and procedures related materials to the field and corporate.
- Follow up with stores regarding new and updated processes/application to gain an understanding of how the change is being received and the success rate.
- Manage daily communication via email
- Manage stock control and weekly PI counts
- Book in all deliveries with accuracy
- Inform purchasing of any issues with deliveries in a timely manner.
- Pick, pack and despatch orders to customers, managing OTIF.
- Manage transport bookings in line with despatch and goods in.
- Ensure that health and safety is being followed.
- Responsible for the maintenance of stores files, ensuring they are organized and up to date
What we are looking for:
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Previous stores and stock control experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Superior follow through organization, attention to detail and customer service oriented.
- Proficient with Word, Excel & Sage 200 would be an advantage.
