We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Senior Revenue Management Analyst. In this role, you will take the lead in driving EMR’s revenue optimisation strategy, shaping innovative pricing approaches that strengthen our commercial performance and deliver compelling propositions for both new and existing customers. You will guide and develop a team of Revenue Management Analysts, fostering strong system expertise, data-driven decision making, and a culture of continuous improvement that maximises revenue results. You will also create and maintain the tools and insights needed to monitor performance, track KPIs, and showcase the impact of your team’s work across the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revenue Management systems and strategies to maximise passenger revenue.
- Expand Advance Purchase (AP) fares to new routes and identify additional commercial opportunities.
- Ensure accurate fare mapping and dynamic optimisation of AP allocations.
- Lead the design of tactical off-peak price promotions and build strong business cases for DfT approval.
- Assist in the rollout of simpler fares and support the revenue management of new products.
Commercial Growth & Partnerships
- Maximise earning potential through existing and new commercial partnerships and upgrade products.
- Deliver joint industry price promotions while protecting EMR’s commercial interests.
- Oversee Ticket Acceptance arrangements with other train operators, assessing operational and customer impact.
Data, Reporting & Performance
- Provide revenue reporting, KPIs and insights to support data-led decision making.
- Work with system providers to resolve RM system issues and support KPI development.
- Champion passenger count strategies and maintain accurate loading data.
- Collaborate with the commercial data engineer to enhance reporting quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with CX, Operations and Train Planning teams during events and engineering works to safeguard revenue and customer experience.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and promote Revenue Management visibility across the network.
- Participate in cross-TOC forums and share best practice.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop the Revenue Management team, ensuring delivery of objectives and personal development plans.
- Chair the Tactical Price & Promotions Working Group, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support the Lead Revenue Optimisation Manager with wider industry initiatives, including extended booking horizons and simpler fares.
What we need from you
- Strong experience in Pricing and Revenue Management systems and software.
- Exceptional understanding of Revenue Management and Pricing principles, with proven application.
- Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical and IT skills, including advanced spreadsheet use.
- Sound knowledge of how products and market segmentation impact customer demand.
- Initiative-taking, positive and determined team player who acts as a role model.
- Experience managing, motivating and developing a team.
- Experience working with agencies and external suppliers.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.

EMR has a hybrid working policy which is applicable for this role. This means the role can be based at home 2-3 days per week and on site 2-3 days per week.
