We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Commercial Analyst. This role reports to the Senior Commercial Insights Manager and is based in our head office in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has strong analytical skills and a drive to make a measurable difference in achieving financial targets and driving commercial development. Utilising a range of skills and systems, you will play a key role in helping the business to develop a greater understanding of our customers and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Help to shape and deliver the commercial analysis and insights strategy to guide our commercial approach as a business and drive revenue growth.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc revenue reporting and analysis, generating insights into our customers and markets and presenting findings to a wide range of stakeholders including senior level executives.
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable self-service reporting and dashboard solutions, enabling stakeholders across the business to independently access, explore and act on commercial data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes, reporting, and ways of working, to drive efficiencies, enhance data quality and help embed best practice across the Commercial Insights team.
  • Support research projects, providing input to market research proposals and capturing the learnings of research to improve internal analysis.
  • Conduct financial modelling to evaluate the expected revenue benefits of business cases and analyse the observed impacts once projects are delivered to assess whether benefits are being realised.
  • Be an expert on revenue performance for the rest of the business, helping other departments to understand what drives revenue performance and making sure commercial impacts are considered in all business initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to accurately assess the factors influencing performance and make recommendations to optimise commercial results.
  • Highly skilled in numerical analysis, with the ability to deliver detailed analysis, financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting, using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other similar data visualisation platforms.
  • Proficiency working with large, complex datasets, including data extraction, transformation and modelling, to support scalable analytics. Experience using SQL and SQL Server Management Studio beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong experience developing interactive dashboards and self-service reporting solutions, with a focus on usability, accessibility and stakeholder adoption.
  • Excellent ability to interpret business requirements and translate complex issues into clear, concise and audience-appropriate insights and recommendations.
  • Self-motivation, positivity and determination to deliver high quality outcomes in your work, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to grasp and solve complex issues and systems quickly and independently.
