We’re now looking for a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager to join our IT function in this exciting opportunity to shape and embed resilience across the organisation, ensuring EMR is prepared for whatever comes next.

About the role

You’ll lead the development and delivery of EMR’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, helping to safeguard critical services and minimise disruption. Working across the business, you’ll identify risks, assess impacts, and design practical, effective plans aligned to ISO 22301 and ISO 27031 standards. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll influence stakeholders at all levels and play a key part in strengthening organisational resilience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and continuously improve EMR’s Business Continuity Strategy in line with business needs and risk priorities
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans across all departments
  • Develop and manage the Disaster Recovery Strategy, aligned to Business Impact Assessments
  • Partner with the Infosec & Governance Senior Manager to support risk register reviews
  • Design and deliver testing exercises (from tabletop to full-scale simulations), identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisation

What we’re looking for

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proven experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and delivery
  • Confidence designing, evaluating and managing formal processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • A track record of building effective working relationships across teams

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Familiarity with cyber security principles
