South Derbyshire District Council is investing in its Housing Service to provide affordable homes and services for our tenants. The Council would like to hear from proactive, enthusiastic and determined people who can help to develop and improve services that respond to the changing needs of customers and the new regulatory framework.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to enable commercially efficient, safe, quality-focused outputs. Working flexibility over 3 – 4 days per week at the Swadlincote office.

Work closely with contractors, supervisors and compliance duty holders to maintain accurate records and update our housing management systems, to ensure that all regulatory requirements for social housing providers are met. You will also work alongside the Repairs Scheduling and Administration team in the delivery of the day-to-day housing operational administration.

Raise, track, and manage administration tasks from start to finish, ensuring all are accurately recorded within our housing systems and completed within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an administrative role, preferably within a social housing, property management, or maintenance environment. You will also be able to demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Effective relationship building, resource planning and management of contractors is essential to ensure consistent delivery and high levels of resident satisfaction.
