Derbyshire Carers Association (DCA) is a local charity based in Derbyshire that supports children and adults who care for a family member, friend or partner who needs help because of illness, disability, mental health issues, frailty or addiction. DCA are recruiting a passionate and motivated Service Lead to oversee our carers services across Derby City. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of unpaid carers and wants to lead a dedicated, supportive team.
From April 2026, you will lead on the Carers Service in Derby. This is a new and exciting role, created to strengthen the support available to carers across the city and ensure the service continues to grow, innovate and reach those who need it most.
Responsibilities:- You will oversee the delivery of high-quality, accessible and inclusive support for all adult carers.
- A key part of this role is ensuring we reach carers from diverse communities, including those who may not recognise themselves as carers without the right encouragement and support.
- We are looking for someone with experience, passion and commitment to ensuring every carer has a voice and can access the help they need.
- You will manage staff, build strong partnerships, represent the organisation internally and externally, and help shape the future direction of the service.
