Are you searching for a career where no two days are the same? Housing Repairs are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic multi skilled operative to join our in house repairs team. In this role you will spend your day undertaking a variety of repairs to our Council’s housing stock across a variety of trades. As you will be visiting various properties you will require excellent customer service skills in order to effectively communicate with our customers. Most of your work will be undertaken in tenanted properties, but you may also be required to work in empty properties, to undertake work to get these ready for new tenants.

Experience required:

  • Working in social housing
  • Undertaking repairs in tenanted properties
  • Working in a team
  • Accurate record keeping

Ideal candidate:

  • Have excellent technical skills in more than one trade
  • Hold at least one qualification to evidence their ability
  • Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be positive, enthusiastic and self‑motivated
  • Have a flexible approach to meet the needs of a demanding service
  • Be someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours
