Key responsibilities:

The City of Lincoln Council isn’t like any other council. It’s a hive of talented, innovative, dedicated, high performing staff who are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for the people they serve in the communities of Lincoln, and we recognise that people are our most valuable asset. In this rewarding and challenging role, you will build working relationships with landlords, lettings and estate agents, promote the use of private rented accommodation and liaise with potential tenants and current tenants to help answer any queries or deal with any issues that occur. You will develop and manage appropriate schemes which enable easy access into privately rented accommodation for applicants.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • An experienced professional with a background in working with a social housing landlord, working with homeless households or experience with private sector housing or customer services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety rating system for residential properties.
  • First class organisation skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle conflict and adopt a firm but fair approach.
