An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service. Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.
You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service at Birkhill Infant School, Chestnut Drive, Eckington, S21 4BE. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit. Possible tasks include food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dining room for service.
Responsibilities- Support the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service.
- Work at a production unit or at a servery unit as required.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dining room for service.
- Act as the point of contact with customers during meal service, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Help ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Demonstrate an attitude appropriate to the school environment to help make good lunchtime memories for customers.
Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
