Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? We are seeking an inspirational Deputy Head to join our family-focused, child-centred school community due to the promotion of our existing Deputy Head to Headship. This is a non-teaching leadership role, offering the chance to shape and develop our English provision while driving excellence across the school.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic plans and building on our ambitious vision for the school and all within it. You will be somebody who places children at the heart of every decision, and your leadership will motivate and inspire colleagues to do the same.

  • Is an outstanding communicator and team player who is able to demonstrate and articulate, in every thought and action, the school’s vision and high expectations to pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to deliver excellence across all areas of leadership, as the school continues to grow
  • Will deputise for the Headteacher and be instrumental in shaping our whole learning community
  • Is a person of vision and humanity, who demonstrates professionalism and presence
  • Is engaging and effective in building relationships, highly articulate and an excellent classroom practitioner with a real interest in pedagogy, with the energy and charisma to lead and inspire others

What skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner who is able to lead curriculum development throughout school
  • An interest in research driven approaches and a thirst to keep up to date with the ever changing educational landscape
  • Someone who has been a Deputy Head previously or currently, had experience of deputising or has a skill set that supports the job role of Deputy Head
  • A proven track record of leadership that has led to significant outcomes
  • A caring, hardworking and enthusiastic leader with a positive approach that will inspire all those around you
  • Commitment to foster links with parents and our wider community
  • Desire to work effectively with the school’s governing body
  • Committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of everyone
  • To quality assure inclusion for everyone
  • An ability to use data to assist in next steps
  • Knowledge of the importance of GDPR and Cyber security
