Derbyshire County Council have an exciting opportunity for a caring and determined Community Care Worker to join our South team in the Amber Valley Locality. This role offers progression and development, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to use your skills and experience to genuinely improve outcomes for children and young people. Evening work may be required on occasion, but weekend work is not an expectation of the role. The position is within a busy social work team with an experienced and committed group of colleagues, supported by a highly competent Practice Supervisor and experienced Team Manager. We are looking for motivated and dedicated applicants who can demonstrate a passion for working with vulnerable individuals within society and making a difference to children and families.

What skills and experience do you need?
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards once in post
- Experience of creating rapport and building effective relationships with families
- Knowledge of Child Protection, child development and parenting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent assessment and IT skills
Our Community Care Worker Role attracts a starting salary of £29,719 with annual increments to £31,691 per annum.
