We are currently recruiting for a part time highly motivated and resilient Business Continuity and Emergency Planning Officer. As a motivated individual, you will be responsible for ensuring the Council remains prepared for, responsive to, and able to recover from emergencies.

Working closely with internal teams and partner agencies, including the Local Resilience Forum and emergency services, you will lead on developing, coordinating and continually improving the Council’s emergency planning and business continuity arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work under pressure with knowledge of the Council’s responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act and experience in leading on emergency planning development. You should be an excellent communicator, able to forge close working relationships with our partner agencies and the local community.
