Join Bolsover District Council’s Streetscene Team to provide household and commercial refuse collection services across the district. This role involves routine collection rounds and removal of household, industrial, and commercial waste. During the winter green bin suspension period, you may also assist with grounds maintenance, street cleansing, and environmental improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect domestic and commercial waste from urban and rural locations
- Operate light commercial vehicles and perform routine maintenance checks
- Work to fixed schedules and deadlines while maintaining high physical output
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, including work near highways
Requirements
- Valid Full LGV Driving Licence (Category C or C+E)
- Experience in refuse collection or street cleansing (desirable)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety systems
- Ability to sustain physical work over prolonged periods
