We are currently recruiting for Housing Solutions Homeless Outreach Co‑ordinator to be part of the Housing Solutions Team; this is a dynamic service with a vision of preventing homelessness.
As a Housing Solutions Homeless Outreach Co‑ordinator, you will be an integral member of the team. You will coordinate and develop the local authority’s homeless outreach service, ensuring rough sleepers and individuals at risk of homelessness receive timely, effective, and person‑centred support.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Councils dynamic Housing Solutions Team on a fixed term basis of two years.
We are looking for a positive, adaptable and motivated person who wants to help move our service forward and is continually seeking to improve customer service.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualification at level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working with people experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues, or offending histories.
- Knowledge of local housing pathways and rough sleeping services.
- Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities for adults and children.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently during outreach sessions and respond effectively to dynamic situations.
