37 hours per week, Term Time Only, 39 weeks. Start date: As soon as possible. South Wolds is a high attaining, semi‑rural popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first class education for all of our students.
We are looking for a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic individual to join our team to deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions for our most vulnerable learners. Successful applicants will be able to lead and deliver sessions for students working below age‑related expectations. You will be part of a brilliant SEN Team, led by a SENCo and Inclusion Manager.
You will have a passion for inclusion and teaching, and a commitment to ensuring that all students achieve to their highest potential. Time‑management skills, patience and a good work ethic are essential, as are a sense of humour and excellent interpersonal skills.
Our most recent Ofsted report (2025) stated that “Pupils are made to feel included at this school” and we pride ourselves on our culture of belonging, particularly for our most vulnerable learners. This role is an excellent development opportunity for individuals wishing to gain experience in SEND education, particularly if they are interested in a future career in teaching or education support.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post. They will also be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
