We are seeking to appoint a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our busy and successful DT department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with practical skills and a proactive approach to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Design & Technology.
The successful candidate will support staff and students by:
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for lessons
- Maintaining machinery, equipment and workshop areas
- Supporting safe working practices and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
- Supporting practical classroom activities where appropriate
- Ensuring workshops and preparation areas remain organised and safe
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has practical and technical skills relevant to Design & Technology
- Is organised, adaptable and able to work independently
- Has a good understanding of health and safety within workshop environments
- Works well as part of a team
- Has good communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
