Salary: M1 – UPS3; £32,916 – £51,048.

Starting Date: 24th August 2026.

This position will begin on 24th August 2026 at Limehurst Academy, part of the East Midlands Education Trust. The Academy has been rated "Good" by Ofsted.

The role is critical to the school’s English department and will involve delivering GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature to the full range of ages and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective classroom instruction for GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature.
  • Work as part of an eight‑person English department, contributing to departmental goals and curriculum development.
  • Act as a form tutor, overseeing the pastoral care and academic progress of a designated cohort of students.
  • Show strong time‑management skills, patience, and a good work ethic, while maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Qualifications
  • Full enhanced DBS check required; candidate must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Experience teaching GCSE English or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Employment Conditions
  • Term: Fixed‑term, one year maternity cover.
  • Work: Full‑time.
