South Wolds is a high attaining, semi-rural popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first class education for all of our students.
Do you like variety, young people and working as part of a fantastic team? If the answer is yes then this role might be for you. The South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form in Keyworth is seeking to fill the position of Housekeeper.
The hours of work will be:
- 30 hrs per week: Term Time - Monday to Thursday 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm and Friday 11.30 pm to 5.30 pm
- School Holidays: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 2.00 pm
Previous experience in a school environment is not essential but a commitment to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are. Previous experience in either catering, housekeeping or general cleaning would be an advantage but are not necessary.
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to working in a safe manner and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This role involves a lot of walking around and the laying out and putting away of furniture, so you need to be physically able to meet those requirements.
Finally, you must be a good communicator, like working around young people and always willing to help your team when the unexpected happens. We will train you in the specific aspects of the job, you just need to bring a willingness to learn, a good sense of humour and a friendly and approachable manner.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post.
