An exciting opportunity has arisen to join award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service. Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team.
You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service at St Georges Primary School. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit. Possible tasks include:
- Food preparation
- Cooking
- Portion control
- Allergen compliance
- Preparing the dining room for service
Our Catering Assistants are our point of contact with our hungry customers. Whilst serving meals to our customers, all team members help ensure that food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We want to help make good lunchtime memories for our customers, so it is essential that you can demonstrate an attitude which is appropriate to the school environment.
Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
