Senior Educational Psychologist: Buxton

Salary details: £59,807 – £68,086

Soulbury Educational Psychology Scale B 4-7 plus up to 3 SPAs

Permanent, full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8fte) post, initial secondment would be considered with permission from current manager

Following a positive review of Derbyshire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) we are pleased to advertise a full-time-equivalent senior educational psychologist post based in our Buxton area office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team of educational psychologists, including trainee and assistant EPs at times.
  • Work with a team based in Buxton, covering the north and west of Derbyshire (Glossop, New Mills, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock, the Hope Valley, and surrounding areas).
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team with established line management and peer supervision in place.
  • Work to deliver the service vision and mission in partnership with colleagues and partner agencies.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC.
  • Applications welcome from Educational Psychologists with at least 3 years post-training experience seeking new challenges.
  • The post will be located in the Buxton team.
  • Provisional Interview Date: 20 October 2025.
