We are recruiting for a strategic and operational leadership role within Digital Services Organisational Management, responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of ICT and Digital Services through robust governance, financial oversight, performance management, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
This role combines the operational leadership and management of the ICT Organisational Management function with strategic responsibilities. The Organisational Management function provides strategic oversight and operational support across key areas such as financial planning, licensing, contract management, governance, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring. This function acts as the backbone of digital services, enabling informed decision‑making, maintaining compliance with internal and external standards, and driving continuous improvement. It also supports the coordination of cross‑functional activities, and digital initiatives that deliver value to service users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery and Performance – Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of ICT and Digital Services, promoting a high‑performance culture and continuous improvement.
- Financial Oversight – Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Provide accurate financial and technical reporting to support decision‑making.
- Audit and Compliance – Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards. Coordinate audit activities and implement corrective actions.
- Risk and Continuity Management – Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring robust business continuity planning and contributing to the corporate risk framework.
- Process Improvement and Innovation – Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to optimise workflows and resource utilisation. Promote best practices and innovation across Digital Services.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Provide expert advice to Elected Members, Executive Directors, and senior managers. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Leadership – Manage and mentor staff across the organisational management team and create a collaborative and accountable team culture.
- Procurement and Licensing – Oversee vendor relationships, contract compliance, and procurement strategies for IT services and products.
