We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Platforms & Endpoint Lead to take ownership of EMCCA’s endpoint and device management environment. This is a key technical leadership role where you’ll ensure secure, reliable and high‑performing device services, supporting colleagues across the organisation to work efficiently and effectively.

About the role

As Platforms & Endpoint Lead, you will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of endpoint management platforms, with a strong focus on automation, security and user experience. You will oversee Microsoft Intune and endpoint technologies, ensuring consistent standards, robust compliance, and seamless device provisioning. Working closely with ICT colleagues, security teams and external partners, you’ll drive innovation and best practice while maintaining high levels of service reliability and governance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design and management of endpoint platforms, including Microsoft Intune
  • Develop and maintain device compliance, configuration baselines and enrolment processes
  • Oversee Autopilot provisioning and optimise the new starter experience
  • Define and deliver patching and release strategies, including risk management and rollback planning
  • Set standards for application packaging, testing and deployment
  • Maintain strong endpoint security posture, working closely with security teams
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
  • Use analytics and service data to identify issues and improve performance
  • Lead response to critical incidents and service disruptions
  • Produce documentation, knowledge articles and standard operating procedures
  • Support development of the service catalogue and standard service requests
  • Mentor and support team members to build capability and consistency

About you

We’re looking for a technically strong and proactive leader who can combine hands‑on expertise with strategic thinking. You will have:

  • Significant experience in endpoint management and automation in a complex ICT environment
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and endpoint configuration
  • Proven ability to design and deliver patching and release strategies
  • Good understanding of ICT infrastructure, including cloud and networking
  • Strong knowledge of security, compliance and best practice
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to provide trusted technical advice

Qualifications

  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. MD-102, MS-102, SC-300, AZ-104) or equivalent experience
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
