Derbyshire County Council's Elective Home Education Service are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Team Leader who will be part of a hardworking and friendly team. This appointment would be for 14 hours 48 minutes per week spread over two days for a fixed term maternity cover starting August 2026. This is an established Job Share position.
Responsibilities
- Providing visible, inclusive, and empowering leadership, ensuring colleagues feel supported, valued, and clear about priorities and expectations.
- Work collaboratively with Heads of Service, colleagues and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for Electively Home Educated pupils.
- Lead on innovation and service improvement, streamlined processes and the use of automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure robust safeguarding, performance management, and risk management strategies are in place and actively reviewed.
You will be part of a small, dedicated Elective Home Education team based in Matlock, Derbyshire. As part of our Modern Ways of Working programme we are currently working on a hybrid basis, with some requirement to be in the office. There will be an opportunity to discuss working arrangements at interview.
