This is your opportunity to help drive bold, place-changing regeneration across one of the UK’s most dynamic regions. As the Strategic Regeneration Lead, you’ll provide visionary leadership to deliver the East Midlands Combined County Authority’s (EMCCA) long-term regeneration agenda—turning ambition into tangible outcomes for our people, places, and businesses.
Working alongside the Mayor, local leaders, and strategic partners, you’ll guide the delivery of transformative programmes across the Trent Arc, Canal Corridor, Supercluster, and other major growth areas identified in the East Midlands Vision for Growth.

Responsibilities:
- Shape and oversee EMCCA’s strategic regeneration and development framework.
- Lead complex multi-agency partnerships across public and private sector.
- Secure investment and funding for programmes worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
- Provide expert advice to senior decision-makers and regional partners.
- Deliver major regeneration projects, from concept to completion, ensuring sustainable, long-term impact.
- Champion innovative delivery approaches, including Joint Ventures and Special Purpose Vehicles.
- Represent EMCCA at regional and national levels, building powerful strategic relationships.
Whether your focus is spatial development (commercial and infrastructure-led regeneration) or housing & regeneration (housing-led renewal and partnership delivery), you will be at the forefront of shaping the region’s growth.
About You:
We’re looking for an exceptional leader with:
- Significant experience managing large-scale, complex regeneration or infrastructure programmes.
- Expertise in land development, commercial negotiation, and partnership delivery.
- Strong track record in securing funding, delivering business cases, and overseeing multi-million-pound budgets.
- Advanced strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management skills—able to navigate complex political and commercial environments with confidence.
- A collaborative, visionary mindset aligned with EMCCA’s values of Lifting our Region, Working Together, Making an Impact, and Being Human.
Qualifications:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (Essential).
- Membership of RICS, RTPI, CIH or similar (Desirable).
