You’ll work across a broad portfolio including inclusive growth, skills, transport, housing, net zero, health, and wellbeing. We’re particularly interested in candidates with strengths in economic analysis, GIS and spatial analysis, and/or Power BI and data visualisation. - Produce, maintain, and monitor quantitative analysis across public and private datasets at local, regional, and national levels
- Analyse economic, labour market, social, and/or spatial data to support policy development and investment decisions
- Apply appropriate analytical techniques to identify trends, relationships, risks, and opportunities

- Communicate findings clearly through reports, briefings, presentations, and visual storytelling
- Advise colleagues on data quality, limitations, and appropriate interpretation of evidence
- Work collaboratively across teams to embed data and insight into decision-making
- Support the development of regional data partnerships and shared analytical approaches
- Monitor policy, market, and regulatory changes and assess their implications for the region
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in data analysis within a policy, research, economic development, or similar environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret and explain complex findings clearly
- Experience producing insight, reports, dashboards, or visual outputs to support decision-making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant or transferable discipline
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Sway
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Economic or labour market analysis
- GIS and spatial analysis (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS)
- Power BI reporting, data modelling, or Power Query (ETL)
Our Values
- Lifting our region - You’ll put regional outcomes first and champion inclusive growth.
- Working together - You’ll collaborate across teams and partners, bringing people together through insight.
- Making an impact - You’ll turn data into action, shaping better policies and investments.
