Overview: Take ownership for the care of our premises and facilities to keep our workplaces running safely, smoothly and reliably. We’re looking for a dependable and practical maintenance colleague who takes pride in their work and understands the difference that well run buildings make to colleagues and tenants experiences while at work. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operational delivery, focused on keeping our spaces safe, functional, health and safety compliant and welcoming across multiple sites. You will respond to day to day repairs, carry out planned maintenance and checks, support office moves or changes, set up workspaces and coordinate contractor access. In this role you need to be calm, adaptable, proactive in problem solving, and organised in how you manage tasks, records and communication. You’ll work with the scheduler to manage priorities efficiently, record work accurately, keep colleagues informed so that nothing is missed and issues are resolved quickly and properly. The usual working pattern can be 4 or 5 days per week between Monday to Friday but must include a Friday (please confirm your preferences in the covering letter).
Key areas of responsibility:
- Carry out reactive maintenance and minor repairs across multiple sites, responding calmly and professionally to issues.
- Complete planned checks and preventative maintenance, recording outcomes accurately and escalating concerns.
- Support workspace readiness, including furniture moves, room set ups and general housekeeping.
- Act as the on-site contact for contractors, coordinating access, works and sign off.
- Safely move, install and log facilities and IT assets, keeping records up to date.
- Support office moves, equipment delivery and space changes.
- Follow Health and Safety protocols.
