The predicted salary is between 18900 - 23100 £ per year.
The post holder will be involved in the day to day operation of our packhouse, concentrating on the working of machines they will be assigned to, which process and pack our various seasonal crops harvested over the year.
Duties will include:
- Start and end of the shift, report to office about what has to be done with a report on end of shift with what has been done or still to do.
- Check sprout sizes in Dolavs, boxes, trays constantly making sure they are correct grade.
- Daily check of machines for maintenance reporting issues to team leader.
- Maintaining clear and tidy working areas on and around the machines.
- Quality checking raw produce and reporting issues to Quality Control.
- Keeping traceability information for storing all products, packaging for the line.
- Making sure machine and workers are working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete daily pre-start checks, reporting maintenance issues to Packhouse Supervisor.
- Set up and operate machinery according to production specifications.
- Perform routine inspection and basic preventative maintenance.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and report to be agreed with Head of Packhouse or Packhouse Supervisor.
(Note: The post holder will be expected to adjust these hours or work a different work pattern during the week as required to complete any job roles/tasks effectively. Some weekend work may be required. Overtime will also be available at times throughout the year.)
The post holder will require a basic knowledge of food hygiene, company hygiene procedures, company quality policy, glass breakage procedure and site health and safety.
Attention to detail, especially on packhouse/production areas. Good communicator, reliable, respectful and must attend. Must have own car/access to transport. Must be able to work as part of a team to reach product target.
