We are seeking to appoint a permanent Team Manager - Learning Estate to lead strategically and operationally within the Education Service the education vision for short, medium and long term planning aligned with the Learning Estate Strategy in collaboration with other services across East Lothian Council.
The post holder will manage and support the implementation of the Learning Estate Strategy and the associated Learning Estate Improvement Plan; liaising with Council Services and schools from a corporate Education perspective.
The post will help the Education Leadership Team to support all aspects of estate development, from early years and schools to wider curriculum facilities including outdoor learning and local delivery of regional employability and training opportunities for young people and adults.
The postholder will be the Education Client responsible for sign off of learning estate designs and specifications to meet our curricular aspirations, so an educational or large building project management background would be an advantage.
This is an exciting and demanding role within the Strategy Universal Expansion of Free Schools and primary school lets in collaboration with relevant Council services and any changes to legislation that impact the Learning Estate.

Job Requirements Relevant Qualifications Educated to degree level (Or Equivalent SCQF qualification), in a relevant area, such as Project Management, Finance, Education or Asset Management.
Level 1 Disclosure Clearance This role requires Level 1 Disclosure Clearance to allow access to the Public Sector Network.
ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate and receipt of the subsequent certificate will be required prior to commencement .
