The predicted salary is between 29000 - 31000 € per year.
The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £13.95 - £14.83. This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
- Monday, 08:30-12:30
- Tuesday - Thursday, 12:00-16:00
- Friday, 08:30-12:30
To start 1st August 2026. Previous experience working within a school environment would be preferable but not essential. Familiarity with school management systems such as PECOS and SEEMIS would be beneficial.
This is a very busy and fast-paced role, requiring strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a proactive approach to managing a varied workload. The successful candidate will be comfortable working under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Job Details: To provide administrative, clerical, reception and information support to the school through a range of tasks carried out within well-defined regulations. Job Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
- PVG Membership: This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
