The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £13.95 - £14.83. This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Post 1: 35 Hours per Week
Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday, 08:15-16:15 (30 minute break). Friday, 08:15-13:15
Post 2: 13.5 Hours per Week
Days and Hours of Work: Thursday, 08:00-16:30, Friday, 08:00-13:30

Law Primary School is situated in North Berwick and has over 800 children from Nursery to P7. Our values are Kindness, Respect and Determination. We have a large staff team, with five administrative support staff, 2 of which are leaving at the end of June. We are looking for people with general administrative skills and experience of working within a busy office environment.
Job Details: To provide administrative, clerical, reception and information support to the school through a range of tasks carried out within well-defined regulations. Job Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
- PVG Membership: This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
