Days and Hours of Work:

  • 3 Week Rota
  • Week 1: Monday, 17:30-08:00; Tuesday, 17:30-08:00; Saturday, 06:30-19:00; Sunday, 06:30-19:00
  • Week 2: Friday, 17:30-07:00; Saturday, 18:30-07:00; Sunday, 18:30-08:00
  • Week 3: Wednesday, 17:30-08:00; Thursday, 17:30-08:00

To start 25th May 2026.

Job Details: To provide a comprehensive, high quality security service within East Lothian Council premises ensuring the safety of the premises, valuables and people. Preventing theft and damage, you will also be required to deal with emergencies as and when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A minimum of National 4 English/Maths or Literacy/Numeracy or Intermediate 1 Communication/Numeracy or SVQ1/Standard Grade General level English/Maths and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
  • Driving Licence: As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. (*Where a disability precludes you from obtaining a driving licence, ELC will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.)
