Preston Tower Primary School is located in the coastal town of Prestonpans. Our school sits across 2 campuses – West Loan (ELCC – P3) and Preston Road (P4-P7). The proximity of the High School enables us to have close links. Prestonpans consists of a mixture of social and privately owned houses. We are a non-denominational school catering for both boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 12 years, from Early Learning & Childcare (EL&CC) through to Primary 7, after which the majority of our children move onto Preston Lodge High School. Preston Tower PS has a current roll of 725 (June 2026) and a Free School Meal entitlement of around 22%. 52% of our Primary 1-7 children in the school live within quintile 1 and 2. Our 2 EL&CC classes have a shared roll of 113 children (June 2026), including 14 eligible 2 year olds. In Session 2026/27, the school has a 26 class structure (4xP1, 3xP2, 4xP3, 3xP4, 1x P4/5, 3xP5, 4xP6 & 4xP7).

We are very fortunate to have enthusiastic children, supportive parents, carers and community members, and dedicated support and teaching staff.
