East Lothian Council seek to appoint a positive, resilient and inclusive individual for the position of School Welfare Assistant, at Rosehill High School, on the Wallyford Learning Campus. Our school has rapidly expanded since opening in 2023 and, for session 26-27, we expect around 700 pupils in S1-S6. This role has a specific focus on attendance tracking and meeting pupils' day to day. The candidate will be expected to be in regular phone and/or email communication with families. Whilst first aid training is a requirement, this could be supported whilst in post and is not required prior to application.
This secondary learning facility is designed to support creative approaches to learning, with a range of adaptive teaching spaces. Alongside up to date and digitally enabled classrooms, there is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) wing, a Learning Resource Centre, extensive facilities to support the arts, and a state of the art sport and leisure complex. Learning and teaching on the campus goes beyond the traditional classroom and encompasses outdoor learning and sustainability. The campus also includes a number of community and health spaces to support collaboration between a range of professionals and sectors.
