The predicted salary is between 22.76 - 25.36 £ per hour.

Hourly rate of pay: £22.76 - £25.36. Temporary until 31st March 2028.

Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 08:30-16:30. Starting and finishing times are flexible. Some evening and weekend hours are expected from time to time. Extension of fixed term subject to continued funding from external partners.

This post will have a specific remit to build relationships with club leaders supporting them to develop strong, sustainable, safe and inclusive clubs.

Home / Hybrid Working Consideration: Applications for home or hybrid working will be considered for this post in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Home or Hybrid working options can be discussed with candidates invited for interview. Please note: All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. Where an application for home-working is supported, it will be subject to a satisfactory trial period. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for the duration of induction, and be on site in East Lothian workplaces, as required.

Job Details: To support local community sports clubs and groups with the planning and development of community sport within East Lothian, through the identification of community needs and priorities, responding to these needs as appropriate in line with Council policy.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Educated to degree level in a specific discipline ie sport or physical activity and/or be able to demonstrate substantial equivalent knowledge, skills and competences gained through relevant experience.
  • Driving Licence: A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
  • PVG Membership: This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.

Please note: If you have spent more than 3 months working or living out with the UK in the last 5 years then you will be required to present a copy of an overseas criminal record check.
