We have organised these expectations into 3 pedagogy sails which underpin these values through high quality Learning (Enable), Leadership (Lead) and Relationships (Care).
Our Pedagogy Team work closely with our Quality Improvement Team to work in schools, alongside practitioners, to support aspects of pedagogical improvement identified through quality assurance, review, and inspection. There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced classroom practitioner to join the Pedagogy Team. The successful candidate will also be expected to evidence their experience in leading others in school improvement work, and their ability to manage pace of change and the evaluation of the impact of improvement actions upon outcomes for learners. The post will be based at East Lothian Council HQ, John Muir House, Haddington, but the majority of the working week will be spent in East Lothian schools working independently to support practitioners and school leaders to create capacity for improvement in pedagogical approaches across the four themes of QI2.3 Learning, Teaching and Assessment.
The post qualifies for travel expenses, as well as periods of home working at certain times of the school session, and salary will be based on the national Principal Teacher salary scale. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Monday 7th September.
