East Lothian Council is looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Community Protection Officer (Mediation) to join our Protective Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in mediation, conflict resolution, community engagement or housing-related services to play a key role in helping residents resolve disputes and improving community wellbeing. Job Details To actively contribute to achieving the aim of Protective Services in promoting, protecting and enhancing the health, safety and wellbeing of people living, working and spending time in East Lothian and to support Council Services in managing the risks associated with delivering and maintaining services in our local communities. To assist and positively support the Team Leader in carrying out the delegated duties undertaken within the Community Protection Team in relation to; • The delivery of a community mediation service. • Using early intervention methods to resolve neighbour disputes. • Assisting with investigations in relation to anti-social behaviour.
