Our school vision is 'Learning together in a safe, happy and empowering community'. Stenton Primary is a rural multi-composite school, which currently operates with one class from P1-7. It is at the heart of a very supportive community and the school has developed many partnerships which support an engaging and relevant curriculum. The school's setting affords great opportunities for outdoor learning.

The principal teacher is responsible for planning the teaching and learning of our 18 pupils, and will work closely with a number of support staff to ensure that all our learners are making excellent progress. The remit for this post includes responsibility for co-ordinating child planning meetings, so experience in this area is desirable but not essential.

Stenton Primary works in partnership with Innerwick Primary under a shared head-teacher. As such, the principal teacher at Stenton has many opportunities to develop a wide range of leadership skills within this role. The principal teachers at both schools, alongside the head teacher, collaborate to drive forward improvement within both schools.
