The predicted salary is between 18.34 - 19.86 £ per hour.

Hourly rate of pay: £18.34 - £19.86. This is a 52-week non-sessional post, i.e. it will include working during the school holidays. Temporary maternity cover until 31st January 2027. To start asap.

Dunbar Primary School is a very large school split over two campuses with a current roll of over 1,100 pupils from Nursery – Primary 7. In academic session 2025-26 our John Muir Campus has fifteen P1 – P3 classes and five rooms in our nursery. We also have an Authority Communication Base (The Cove) within the John Muir Campus for primary pupils.

To work as an effective member of an early years team delivering a high quality child centred service which meets the needs of children and their families. You must be educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional learning and knowledge of current practice and legislation in relation to Early Learning and Childcare.

This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. If you have spent more than 3 months working or living out with the UK in the last 5 years then you will be required to present a copy of an overseas criminal record check.
