Vacancy Information: The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £13.48 – £14.33. Temporary for 1 year.

Days And Hours Of Work

Working 4 days a week to reflect the business needs of service. Days of working are negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible. To start asap.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Community Development Assistant to join East Lothian\’s Musselburgh Connected Communities team. This role will be primarily based in Whitecraig Hub. Working in a busy community space you will be involved in a range of tasks such as setting up sessions for community groups of all ages and assisting with ensuring the smooth-running of the community centre, including some admin, cleaning and dealing with enquiries. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team to work with community members and groups to improve their health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation within a highly valued community resource. Training will be provided.

Job Details

To support and assist in the day to day delivery of front line Community Development services, in accordance with local and Council procedures. You will need to refer to the Job Outline/Person Specification for the full range of tasks and duties associated with this job and ensure you meet every \’essential\’ criterion stated on the Person Specification to be considered for interview.   • Relevant Qualifications
    Able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.
  • PVG Membership
    This post is considered a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to any formal offer of employment.
