Days and hours of work: Tuesday & Wednesday, working times to be agreed. To start asap.

We are looking for someone to provide PE provision at Cockenzie Primary School. We are looking for either a Primary Teacher with an interest in PE or someone who is Secondary PE Qualified.

Cockenzie Primary School is a school with approx 420 children in our nursery and primary classes. We are looking for an excellent teacher to join our amazing team. Our values of Curious, Positive, Successful and Respectful are embedded throughout our school and we are searching for a teacher who displays these values.

Job Details:

  • To undertake class-teaching duties
  • Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
  • Develop the school curriculum.
  • Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
  • Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
  • Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
  • Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
  • Undertake appropriate and agreed Career Long Professional Development (CLPL).
  • Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
  • Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
