Job Details
- Assist the Energy Officer to provide energy advice and expertise on all aspects of Energy Management to East Lothian Council.
- Help the Energy Officer with the Local Authority\’s Carbon Management & Climate Change Obligations.
- Provide advice on statutory obligations under current Government Legislation and relevant regulations ensuring compliance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive energy management policy for all Council assets (property portfolio).
- Identify, explore new interventions and deliver energy, water consumption and carbon emission reduction.

Job Requirements
- Relevant Qualifications: Degree in Energy/Engineering or equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through experience in delivering energy efficiency buildings.
- Driving Licence: Current licence and access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments for disability will be considered.
- Level 1 Disclosure Clearance to allow access to the Public Sector Network. Police Act Disclosure application by council will be submitted on behalf of the chosen candidate; certificate required prior to commencement.
- Overseas criminal record check required for those who spent greater than 3 months abroad in the last 5 years.
