Vacancy Information The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly. Hourly rate of pay: £14.65 - £15.75 Temporary until 31st March 2026. Post 1 - Nursery School, 25 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per Year. This is a 52-week non-sessional post i.e., it will include working during the school holidays. Days and hours of work: Monday - Friday, 09:00-14:00 This post will be based in our Nursery at West Loan Campus. Post 2 & 3 - Primary School, 25 Hours per week, 39 Weeks per Year. This is a 39-week sessional post i.e., working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days. Days and hours of work: Monday - Thursday, 08:45-15:10 Friday, 08:45-12:15 The successful candidates can expect to work at either campus. Preston Tower Primary School is located in the coastal town of Prestonpans. It is a very large school split over two campuses; We currently have over 800 children from Nursery – Primary 7. The school was established in 2019, following the amalgamation of 2 schools. Our West Loan Campus next session will have 12 x P1 – P3 classes and two rooms in our nursery. Our Preston Road Campus will have sixteen P4 – P7 classes. The Senior Leadership Team includes our Head Teacher, 4 Depute Head Teachers and a SfL Principal Teacher. Nursery Only: SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration within 3 months of your start date to ensure that you are registered within the required 6 months. PVG Membership This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
