Vacancy Information
- The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
- Hourly rate of pay: £14.09 - £15.14
- Temporary until 26th June 2026.
- This is a 39-week sessional post i.e., working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
- Days and hours of work: Monday - Thursday, 08:45-15:30 (30 minute break), Friday, 08:45-12:30 (15 minute break)

Law PS is a non-denominational school which serves the town of North Berwick. The school currently has 25 classes with potential to grow further and also has a Nursery with capacity for 80 per session. The school is looking for a committed ASN Auxiliary to enhance our current provision and support a range of needs from nursery to P7. Law PS works collaboratively with its cluster schools who all feed into North Berwick High School. We welcome applications from suitably experienced candidates who wish to join a dynamic and flexible team. It is the town's only primary school and pupils benefit from excellent community links and extra-curricular opportunities.

- Good standard of general education.
- Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs.
- Nursery Only: SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration within 3 months of your start date to ensure that you are registered within the required 6 months.
- PVG Membership: This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
