What are we looking for?
We are looking for one or more in the following skills or knowledge base, or an aptitude to demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Deep connection to the communities of the Lower Lea Valley
- Relationship management with trusts and foundations
- Planning and land law
- Community organising and community advocacy
- Ecology and environmental science
- Developing and implementing holistic communication strategies
- Utilising social research to activate long‑lasting community change
- Lobbying, public affairs, and policy development
- Designing and leading meaningful learning or educational experiences
- Managing charitable and commercial finances
- Developing and managing sustainable volunteer experiences

What will you be doing?
- Architecting the 2027 Roadmap – Partner with our CEO to transform our nature recovery and social equity vision into actionable, long‑term strategy.
- Championing Sociocratic Governance – Actively advance our model of transparent, distributed decision‑making to ensure our governance remains truly community‑led.
- Leading Strategic Subcommittees – Direct or contribute to specialised subcommittees such as Finance or Environmental Strategy to support our scaling operational needs.
- Navigating Stakeholder Landscapes – Leverage your networks to build the essential coalitions needed to deliver our landmark green and blue infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring Financial Stewardship – Maintain rigorous oversight of our health, ensuring all actions uphold our commitment to inclusive, nature‑first development.
