East London Waterworks Park is looking for business development managers to lead projects in creating our community-owned park. Your business development will be instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our community, the park, and its biodiversity. Your input will help us craft compelling narratives that inspire, educate, and engage our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public, ultimately driving support for the park's mission and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong financial acumen to drive income through grants, partnerships, and market research.
- Lead project lifecycles from feasibility and budgeting to contract negotiation and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities
- Volunteer-led East London Waterworks Park won a 2024 NLA award and raised £2m towards buying the 14-acre Lea Bridge Thames Water Depot to turn into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming, forest schools, and community spaces.
- Lead projects on creating community infrastructure as part of our working group.
- Participate in the Governance Circle, meeting fortnightly on Thursday evenings via Google Meet.
