Overview Child and Adolescent Mental Health services in Tower Hamlets are evolving and changing, aiming to provide the best services for our children and young people. We are developing our CAMHS Complex Needs team and are looking for a dedicated professional to join us.Role Description Post holders will be part of a multidisciplinary team offering goal‐based and outcome‐focused episodes of care to young people, children and families presenting with severe and complex mental health difficulties. The role involves working across clinical pathways, trialing and innovating new methods to respond to high‐risk, long‐term cases and collaborating within multi‐disciplinary and multi‐agency contexts.Responsibilities Deliver goal‐based, outcome‐focused episodes of care to children and young people with severe and complex mental health needs.Collaborate with other clinical pathways in Tower Hamlets CAMHS to provide integrated services.Trial and innovate new methods for responding to high‐risk, complex cases requiring extended care.Engage with multidisciplinary teams, commissioning partners, health, social care and education agencies to deliver an outcome‐based service.Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and risk assessments to inform holistic care plans in collaboration with other agencies.Contribute to the improvement of evidence‐based treatment pathways within the busy CAMHS service.Qualifications & Experience Qualifications and experience to work in a Tier 3 CAMHS service.Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work with complex cases.Motivated, flexible, adaptive approach to work with a commitment to evidence‐based practice.Experience working effectively in multi‐disciplinary, multi‐agency settings.Commitment to delivering the highest quality service to children and young people.Contact For more information, please contact Dr Hanspeter Dorner, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Clinical Team Lead at hanspeter.dorner1@nhs.net or Tel: 02074262375.Application Deadline This advert closes on Sunday 31 May 2026.
