ELFT is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Apprentice to join our Pharmacy team for Feb 2026 intake! This 24-month multi-sector programme gives you the skills and knowledge to gain a Pharmacy Technician Level 3 and launch your career in Pharmacy. The programme will combine studying and showing competence whilst gaining experience within the different rotations. Receive top quality training preparing you to deliver the best care to patients. On completion, you will be eligible to register with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician (subject to the entry criteria). Pharmacy technicians are in high demand, and this role is the perfect stepping stone to a long term career in NHS pharmacy., As a PTPT apprentice, you will benefit from a wide range of multi-sector rotations designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed as a Pharmacy Technician. You will participate in theoretical and practical on the job training. Core rotation involves travel between sites and includes dispensary and mental health clinical rotations at Newham Mental health, City & Hackney mental health and Tower Hamlets mental health and Tower Hamlets community health services. Additional rotations include Barts Heath Acute Trust and London Ambulance service (Barking site, waterloo, Hither Green and other London sites). You will also gain experience in community mental health transformation and medicines safety. Throughout the 24-month programme, you will be supported by an ES, and you will also have access to PS at each placement, ensuring you receive tailored guidance and development.
- GCSEs at A-C Grade or 4-9 or equivalent in English and Math.
- Potential apprentices must be 16 years old or above (there is no upper age limit).
- Must NOT hold an equivalent or higher previous qualification in a related subject to the apprenticeship being offered
- You must have been living in the UK for the last 3 years.
- If you are on a Visa, it must cover the length of the apprenticeship contract.
- You must be able to access public funds.
- You must be able to work 37.5 hours a week including working Saturdays and Bank Holidays as per the rota.
- Must NOT be in full time education by starting date of apprenticeship, This is a challenging and rewarding programme that requires commitment, self-motivation, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. In return, you will gain the opportunity to train to build a successful career as a qualified Pharmacy Technician.
