East Lindsey District Council is looking for an Admin Assistant to assist the Markets Team in delivering markets across East Lindsey, Boston Borough, and South Holland. The role is fixed‑term until 31 March 2028.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support by updating the new online booking and payment system across all three councils.
- Answer phone calls and give advice and guidance on the new system.
- Update relevant Excel spreadsheets, log occupancy figures, and deliver up‑to‑date market maps to erection teams on daily deadlines.
- Process trader applications and handle any enquiries relating to the markets.
- Assist Market Officers with social media platforms to promote the markets.
- Occasionally attend outdoor markets to liaise with traders, conduct basic health and safety checks and support day‑to‑day market operations as needed.
- Help implement a new online booking and payments platform, supporting traders throughout the process.
Requirements
- Full driving licence.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, able to learn and manage new online systems.
- Occasional Saturday working required.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional Saturday work may be required.
